Changing the Rules
By Chloe Sandberg – CC’s Staff
We don’t make the rules… we just have to follow them
The new year is an exciting time for positivity, meaningful changes, and clean slates. It is also, unfortunately, a times of year that can be quite hectic in medical clinics, including ours. It is sort of a cascading/tumbleweed type/roll-into-each-other-changes type thing…
First, insurance rules and regulations are commonly changed at the beginning of each new calendar year. Secondly, because of the insurance changes, our documentation system has new rules and requirements for how we document all notes. Thirdly, because the documentation system has changes, there are a few small changes to the way we must report patient functional outcome survey results, or rather how frequently we ask our patients to fill out paperwork.
DO NOT BE AFRAID! Your time spent one on one with us isn’t going to be any different!! We are 100% committed to our patients first and foremost on the daily. Our main goal is to help people and continue helping people – we will get the hang of all the changes. That is the main takeaway. We will just be asking you periodically to update this functional survey I talked about earlier, but it is very simple and quick!
So if in these first few weeks of January we therapists look a little like the boy in the picture, we just ask for a little extra grace as we navigate these muddy January waters 😊 As always, please do not hesitate to call and get on our schedule if you or someone you know has a new ache or pain (or an old one)!
