Start the new year with fresh intentions and a bright outlook! Join us for this two-hour workshop, where you will create your own custom Mala necklace, all the while sipping on sweet mimosas! (OJ option too!) Afterwards, enjoy the unique experience of a one-hour yoga practice led by TWO instructors that will combine Meditation, Yin poses, Yang flows, and loads of juicy hands-on adjustments. Our very own Kalli Kourajian and Lindsay Masset guide you through this special event.

The word “mala” means “heavenly garland.” It’s used as a tool for prayer, meditation, and as a beautiful talisman. Prayer not your thing? That’s ok! The stones that will comprise your mala provide great benefits, including focusing your mind, reenergizing your body, and so much more! Choose your stone beads in advance from a variety of gorgeous options, and indulge in the opportunity to tap into your creative side. Once made, dedicate your mala by giving it your own personal intention, making it truly unique and special. Come engage your senses, create as a community, and prepare yourself for a beautiful 2018!

Spirit: Rhodochrosite is said to help raise self-esteem and sense of self-worth. Legend has it that rhodochrosite is a powerful gemstone for emotional healing. Wear these beads as a reminder that you were born worthy – you do not need to change or fix who you are.

Patience: Amethyst is said to be a meditative and calming stone that is worn to promote calm, balance and peace. Amethyst is also used to eliminate impatience.

Self-Expression: Chrysocolla is said to be a stone of empowerment of the communicative fire within. Legend has it that wearing these chrysocolla stones will aid in authentic, truthful and loving communication.

Howlite: The “stone of calmness” and “stone of awareness”, Howlite is said to be useful in releasing attachments, or cords, linking old emotional pain, from this life or a past life, to the present. Once these attachments are severed, it allows for processing those emotions and bringing peace in those areas.

Protect: Lava Rock, stone of strength and courage, allows one the opportunity for stability throughout changes in life. Legend has it that this stone helps to dissipate anger. Lava is said to provide guidance and understanding as it assists one in “bouncing back”. A very grounding stone, black lava strengthens our connection to mother earth.
