Prep For Race Season

Race Season 2019 – Running, walking, jogging, sprinting, doesn’t matter!
Prep for race season 2019 is likely now underway for most experienced runners/walkers/joggers with the spring and summer race schedules available for most area runs. For those that have a new goal to run their first 5K or half marathon or something else, we hope that you have started some form of a training program, or plan to soon. With that being said, no matter your experience level or speed, anyone can get hurt. Anyone is at risk for training and race related injuries, including chronic, overuse type injuries, or novice “I’m going to run the world” training mistakes.
If at ANY TIME you or a runner/walker/jogger you know complains of some kind of ache or pain associated to training, call us! And I don’t mean your ankle starts hurting on Monday, so you take it easy for a week, then go back to training, and then 2 weeks later your pain is through the roof even looking at your ankle. Your ankle starts hurting Monday, call us Monday if you can! We will be able to get you in same week, get a handle on your current condition, and you will be running out our door to resume training in no time!
So again, if you or someone you know is starting their race season 2019 prep, please keep CC’s Physical Therapy in mind for all your running/walking/jogging related aches and pains! 😊
